Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat

Chairman of the Board of Directors and Professional Guiding Council of the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute

Maj. General Aharon Zeevi Farkash

General Farkash is one of the world's leading experts in the field of security, military and intelligence. During General Zeevi's service in the IDF, he served in a variety of roles both in the field and on the general staff. He was also prominent in strategic planning, direction of projects and management and leading of large units such as the Israel Sigint National Unit (8200), the Technological and Logistics Branch, the Planning Branch and the Defense Intelligence Branch. During the service in the IDF, General Zeevi completed advanced studies including Brigade Command, Division Command and Military & Defense Strategic Doctrine.

Mr. Avinoam Bar-Yosef

Avinoam Bar-Yosef is the founding Director of the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute. He was chief diplomatic correspondent and commentator, and later US bureau chief for the Ma'ariv daily newspaper. He wrote thousands of articles, weekly columns and analyses, many of them on Jewish People issues and policies.

Ms. Ita Alcalay

Ms. Ita Alcalay is the Project Coordinator of the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute. She worked at the Finance Minister's Bureau over than 3 years with Prof. Yaacov Ne'eman and Dan Meridor From 1990-1995 worked with Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu. Served at the Foreign Ministry from 1987 until 1993. She has a B.A in Political Science, Bar-Ilan University

Ambassador Avi Gil

Ambassador Avi Gil Served as the Director General of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs from April 2001-November 2002. He also served as Director-General of Israel's Ministry of Regional Cooperation, Deputy Director-General of the Peres Center for Peace; the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Media Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Finance, and Executive Policy Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Shalom Salomon Wald

Former senior staff member at the Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, former Head of the Biotechnology Unit.

Mr. Yogev Karasenty

Mr Karasenty holds an M.A. from the Public Policy Graduate School, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Served as Policy advisor at the Prime Minister's Office. Holds a B.A. with distinction in Jewish history, Sociology & Anthropology.Head Counselor at the MACHON - Institute for Youth Leaders from Abroad.Coordinator of the NITZANIM project for future educators of the Jewish people at JAFI.

Dr. Dov Maimon

Expert in Jewish theology and in inter-religious dialogue, he was a former business strategic development professional.

Rabbi Dr. Yehudah Mirsky

Former US State Department official and a scholar of politics and of Jewish intellectual history.

Ms. Arielle Kandel

Born in Paris, Arielle Kandel moved to Israel in September 2007. She holds M.A. degrees in international law and Middle East studies from the University of Aix-Marseille III (France) and Ben-Gurion University. Her Master’s thesis focuses on Indo-Israeli strategic relations.

Prof. Yehezkel Dror jpppi Founding President

Professor of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a member of the Club of Rome, scholar and international advisor on statecraft, governance, and policy planning. He served as a senior staff member of the RAND Corporation in the USA; Senior Advisor in the Offices of Israeli Prime Ministers and Ministers of Defense; Fellow at the Berlin Institute for Advanced Study and Science Center; and senior professor at the European Institute of Public Administration, Maastricht.

Mr. Stephen Hoffman

Stephen Hoffman is a graduate of Dickinson College and received his MSW from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Jewish studies from the Baltimore Hebrew University. He also was a graduate of the Council of Jewish Federations' federation executive recruitment and education program (FEREP).

Ambassador Dennis Ross

Ambassador Dennis Ross served as chairman of JPPPI's board of directors and professional guiding council from its establishment in 2002 until stepping down in early 2009. He served as the U.S. State Department's Director of Policy Planning during the administration of H.W. Bush and as the special Middle East coordinator under President Bill Clinton. Ambassador Ross was director of Near East and South Asian Affairs on the National Security Council staff during the Reagan administration. He is currently special adviser for the Persian Gulf and Southwest Asia to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
